Northwave Cyber Security Strengthens Executive Leadership with Petra Oldengarm as President and Kevin Jonkers as COO

Northwave Cyber Security is proud to announce two strategic additions to its executive leadership team. As of 1 September, Petra Oldengarm joined as President, and as of 1 August, Kevin Jonkers has taken on the role of Chief Operations Officer (COO). Both bring decades of experience and deep expertise in the cybersecurity domain, reinforcing Northwave’s commitment to securing the digital future of European organisations.
Petra Oldengarm, a respected leader in the cybersecurity landscape, steps into her new role after seven successful years as an independent consultant and as Director of Cyberveilig Nederland, the Dutch cybersecurity industry association. Her career spans key roles at the Dutch General Intelligence and Security Service (AIVD), the Dutch Energy Research Centre (ECN) as IT Manager, and Hoffmann NL as Director of Cybersecurity. She has also served on the Cyber Security Council (CSR), contributing to national cybersecurity policy and fostering collaboration between public and private sectors. Petra will be responsible for Northwave’s entire business across Europe, driving commercial strategy and international growth.

Kevin Jonkers brings a wealth of operational and strategic experience from leading cybersecurity roles at NCC Group, Deloitte Risk Advisory, and Fox-IT. Based at Northwave’s headquarters in Utrecht, Kevin will oversee global operations and service delivery, ensuring Northwave’s risk-based and intelligence-driven approach continues to meet the evolving needs of its clients.
