Northwave Cyber Security appoints new CFO
Utrecht, 1st of December 2023
European Cyber Security specialist Northwave Cyber Security has appointed Sander Roosendaal as its Chief Financial Officer as of the 1st of December 2023. Roosendaal (45) previously held this position at Orange Cyber Defense and Securelink.
Steven Dondorp, Northwave’s CEO and founder: “Sander brings valuable international experience, and he understands our industry. I am confident that he will be instrumental in further expanding our position as a reputable European Cyber Security provider that proves valuable to our clients.”
Roosendaal is taking over the CFO role from co-founder and shareholder John van Veen, who is retiring.
Dondorp: “John initiated Northwave and played a pivotal role in its developments. We have worked very closely for the past 16 years, evolving the company into what it is today. I am profoundly grateful for his positive energy, his original perspective and his contribution to our human-centered, entrepreneurial company culture.”
As of October 1, Roosendaal and Dondorp will form the board of the Northwave Group, headquartered in Utrecht, The Netherlands.
Roosendaal: “Northwave is a highly capable and innovative cyber security firm. The company has evolved from a small Dutch consultancy into a leading European provider of Managed Security Services and Incident Response. Since 2018, it is on the Financial Times’s list of the 1,000 fastest growing companies in Europe. Northwave is profitable, 100% management-owned and self-financed. This is exceptional, if not unique in our industry. I hope to contribute to an ever greater growth of this beautiful company in the coming years.”
