During the many incident responses cases our CERT has worked on and the investigations done by our experts, various insights and information is obtained. Besides Northwave, there are other parties that gather information on how cyber criminals work, various forms of ransomware and other sensitive data. In short, the cybersecurity community possess valuable pieces of information, and when combined, these pieces become even more powerful.

It is always important to handle such data with the utmost care, to ensure that we handle our clients' data in a professional manner. There is, however, also a lot to say in favour of sharing information. The more information is known and shared about cyber criminals, the better "we" as a society can prepare and protect ourselves against their threats.This means that a lot has to be considered before sharing such information.
